Ann Kiemel: The Comments Continue

It's been nearly two years since my September 2006 post Ann Kiemel, Wherefore Hast Thou Been? The response has been astounding to me.

Every month, I get several more comments--a total of 45, thus far. Most are by people who were greatly influenced by Ann's writings several decades ago.

If you Google "Ann Kiemel," that post comes to the top.

Ann knows about it, because one of the posts is from her. She's had some great trials in her more recent years, and has always battled insecurity. I trust that these comments are a great encouragement to her.

In the late 70's, I would check out cassette tapes from a church library with that sweet, unforgettable voice. I knew I would never be one to sing to people, but loved her for doing it, and was challenged to live more intentionally. A later book about her miscarriages deepened my respect for her.

Just last Sunday I saw some books of hers that I'd not read (from the 80's), and of course, after reading one, curiousity got the better of me. I just knew there'd be something on the web. I plan on reading her latest book. Thanks!

About Me

Steve DennieCareer-wise, I've been hanging around and writing about and cheering on churches and pastors for the past 25 years as my denomination's Communications Director.
I write primarily for my own amusement. If anyone wants to eavesdrop, they're welcome to it. My heartbeat is serving God faithfully through the local church. But my posts repeatedly stray into sports, politics, movies, and other nonsense.
I've been blogging since 2004, and it's been fun. Please understand that, though I work for the United Brethren in Christ denomination, the nonsense I spew out here comes from my own semi-functional brain in a totally personal, non-official capacity. Yes, that's a disclaimer.
